Description |
Our speaker will be the Rt. Rev. Claude E. Payne, retired Bishop of the Diocese of Texas. The title of his presentation is: "Reclaiming Our Heritege." Bishop Payne has a great track record in the area of church growth. His years as Bishop of Texas witness to his effectiveness. His talk should inspire pride in our being Episcopalians and energise us for helping accomplish Bishop Kirk Smith's and our accepted goals of 10 new congregations in our diocese. Bp. Payne's present ministry includes: Church Pension Fund Board; Church Insurance Company Board, Anglican Communion Panel of Reference; Co-Founder of Gathering of Leaders, a network of younger leaders in the Episcopal Church who gather for networking, sharing, mutual support and encouragement; Occasional leader for work in dioceses on the Missionary Church, as well as the same for judicatories of other denominations; Speaker on Church Growth. Co-author with Dr. Hamilton Beasley of "Reclaiming the Great Commission". |
